Yummy chicken and sides from Maryland Fried Chicken on May 17th. And, of course, plenty of desserts.
Chapel is held weekly, and Ray is leading Bible Study this summer. Looks like we may be taking turns. May 10th Chapel speaker: Chad. Thanks, Chad! Hope to see more of you around here!
Today friends gathered to wish Sue Steury well on her next life adventure. After 20 years she is leaving Oaks Village to live with family. Sue and her husband Ernie were early motivators for the Oaks Village founding. After 40 years of missionary service, they “retired” to Avon Park.
Sue, we will miss you. Thank you for your years of service and your continued inspiration to all of us here. Chapter 2: Serve more tea.

Our April luncheon featured pizza (Supreme and Meatlovers from Pizza Hut), salads and desserts; Music from Ken Osborne; Roger and Susan as our hosts; prayer time; and a big announcement that the Quadraplex from 754-766 Carey Lane is to be roofed soon. Seems Rose, Dale, Reba, Loretta, Patricia and Jerry will not be sleeping late for a while.
Thank you, Roger and Susan, and to the volunteers who helped set up, clean up, and prepare the desserts and salads.
We are looking forward to the May Luncheon, although so many of our neighbors will be up north. Y’all hurry back, y’hear?
Pictures of Lake Isis and Oaks Village at Christmas shared by a resident.
We celebrated with a card shower and dinner at Jacaranda. Dave led the singing, Ann led the toasts. Doris’ table led the food line. We had guests from the campground as well as residents. Well, of course! Doris is loved wherever she goes!
